German bank Commerzbank is planning to cut the number of branches in Germany from 450 to just over 400. The decision emerged on Friday after consultations between the bank’s management and supervisory board. A spokesperson for the Frankfurt-based bank did not want to comment on the information, which was first reported by the Handelsblatt newspaper.
