Ukrainian author Andrei Kurkov has been awarded Germany’s Geschwister-Scholl Prize literary prize for 2022 for his book “Diary of an Invasion.” Kurkov’s work can be read as both a vivid chronicle and a critical reflection of a political and humanitarian disaster, according to the Wednesday announcement.
