The Lincoln Tunnel —the last Port Authority Hudson River crossing to accept cash payment for tolls — will go all electronic on Dec. 11, ending the era of stopping at a toll booth at the agency’s bridges and tunnels, officials said. On that Sunday, all electronic-toll collection equipment on overhead gantries will be switched on, and old school cash collection at toll booths ends.
