Cologne striker Florian Dietz will be out “for the foreseeable future” due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, the Bundesliga club said on Tuesday. He suffered the injury during the game against Hoffenheim at the weekend. The club said Dietz will undergo surgery on Wednesday. “He fought back after his first knee injury and his serious shoulder problem with a real discipline. He’ll do that again and we will do everything to support him on his way,” Cologne coach Steffen Baumgart said.
