By David Wetzel New York (Knewz) — The Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina broke apart during Hurricane Ian this week. Video shared to Twitter by @LetitiaStrick6 showed a middle portion of the Cherry Grove Pier break and wash away into the ocean after high waves breached the structure. Hurricane Ian made landfall in South Carolina on Sept. 30 near Georgetown, bringing lashing winds, heavy rain and flooding to the state’s coast.
