By Richard Horgan Los Angeles (Knewz) — There are two general categories of death caused by alcohol: direct and indirect. Together, at the start of the pandemic, they hit marks not seen in decades. This week, the CDC released separate reports about both. In the first report, the agency looked at the year 2020 and found that direct, “alcohol-induced” deaths in the U.S. rose by 26 percent compared to the previous year, the biggest jump in four decades.
