Pope Francis has arrived back in Rome after his four-day trip to the Gulf state of Bahrain. The Catholic Church leader’s plane landed at Rome’s Fiumicino airport late Sunday afternoon. Francis is the first pope to visit the Gulf kingdom. The Bahrain trip to the Muslim country was marked by dialogue. The pontiff also met with important representatives of Islam. During his 39th trip abroad, he also addressed the human rights situation on the ground and repeatedly called for peace in the war in Ukraine.
