NEW YORK — The cast of HBO Max’s upcoming animated series, “Velma,” was unveiled Thursday at the Javitz Center for New York Comic Con. The project’s main star Mindy Kaling was on hand to share the news about the project centering on the brainy Scooby-Doo character. Actors Glenn Howerton, Sam Richardson and Constance Wu appeared on stage for the announcement about the adult animated series tracing the origin story of Velma Dinkley.
