Saudi Arabia on Monday pledged to spend $2.5 billion over the coming 10 years to support green projects across the Middle East and to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The announcements were made by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the second summit of the Middle East Green Initiative (MEGI), a regional climate initiative launched by Saudi Arabia in October 2021.
