Germany’s oldest elephant has died in Augsburg Zoo at the age of 67, the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper reported on Monday, citing zoo head Thomas Lipp. “Targa was an icon of our zoo,” Lipp told the newspaper after the elephant cow fell asleep for the last time in the early hours of Monday morning.
