By ajsmith@thekmgroup.co.uk (Alan Smith) Two fire crews were called to a property in Rochester this evening after a fire started in the kitchen. Firefighters arrived at the house in Quixote Crescent at 5pm to find smoke billowing from the property. They had to wear breathing apparatus as they tackled the flames with hose reel jets. No casualties were reported. The fire is believed to have spread accidentally from the hob. Crews were able to leave the scene at 6.30pm.
