Kuwaiti authorities handed a well-known journalist a three-year suspended prison sentence on Sunday for “insulting the emir”. The court ruling against Fajr Al-Saeed comes after a complaint was submitted by political activist Abdullah Fairouz to media prosecution authorities, The New Arab’s Arabic sister service, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, reported.
