By David Wetzel New York (Knewz) — The United States saw a steep rise in sexually transmitted diseases during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to the CDC data, the U.S. saw an increase of 2.5 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. “STDs continued to increase during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, with no signs of slowing,” the CDC stated in its preliminary sexually transmitted diseases report.
