A new online survey found that men who suffered a loss of social status due to the COVID-19 pandemic were over four times more likely to have attempted suicide in the past month, more than twice as likely to report having suicidal ideas in the past two weeks and they reported higher levels of depressive symptoms compared to men who have not experienced loss of social status.
