By Meaghan Ellis Matt DePerno, Michigan’s Republican attorney general nominee, is facing scrutiny for his opposition to Plan B. During a brief interview, DePerno likened Plan B, a drug used to prevent pregnancy, to the powerful opioid drug, fentanyl. When asked his opinion of Plan B, DePerno claimed that it needs to be stopped “at the border” and banned. According to DePerno, lawmakers need to “figure out how you ban the bill from the state.” He also added that you “have to stop it at the border.
