Russia and the United States flew together on Wednesday to the International Space Station (ISS), their first joint mission to the outpost since Moscow invaded Ukraine, a move that sparked sanctions and left Russia at odds with the West. The Soyuz rocket carrying the spacefaring trio blasted off from Russia’s Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 6:55 pm (1355 GMT). The three are due to spend six months at the station.
