Far-right Italian politician Giorgia Meloni has a mandate to form the country’s next government, the presidential palace announced on Friday. Meloni led her Fratelli d’Italia (Brother of Italy) party to take the largest chunk of votes in elections last month and is now set to form a coalition with the right-wing League, the centre-right Forza Italia and the centre-right Noi moderati (Us Moderates).
