By David Wetzel New York (Knewz) — Is it merely science fiction? Perhaps not. According to NASA, one of Jupiter’s moons, Europa, may be suitable for life. NASA’s ground-based telescopes have shown that Europa’s surface is mostly water ice. Scientists have found strong evidence that below the ice crust is an ocean of liquid water or slushy ice. NASA notes that in 1979 two Voyager spacecraft passed through the Jovian system, showing that Europa might have liquid water there.
