The robot vacuum specialist iRobot is updating its smart home range with a new household cleaner that can dodges cables, circumnavigate dog poo and mop around your rugs. Robot hoovers are notorious for choking themselves on the likes of smartphone cables and shoelaces, but iRobot says it has improved its software to help its latest model avoid getting stuck on backpacks, toys and cables.
