Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Taipei on Saturday to call for more rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in Taiwan, where coronavirus restrictions have recently been eased. About 120,000 people from more than 200 groups participated in the pride parade, carrying rainbow flags and marching in downtown Taipei, according to the event organizer Taiwan Rainbow Civil Action Association.
